THIS WEEK: Are top law firms failing to make the most of social media? A digital marketing expert finds Clayton Utz to be doing the best job on Facebook while other firms claim to be focused on more professional channels. The Council of the South Australian Law Society will examine a legal dispute between the society’s president, Ralph Bönig, and two Adelaide lawyers to whom he reportedly owes almost $180,000. Clients are requesting, yet rejecting, fixed-fee arrangements, according to Freehills’ managing partner; and a Global Fraud survey by Ernst & Young has found almost half of CFO’s surveyed felt they could justify potentially unethical practices to help business survive during an economic downturn.
